Watch the Epic Live-Action Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Trailer

Activision today released a live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which captures the essence of the game in impressive fashion. The short spot, set to "Salute Your Solution" by The Raconteurs, mixes live-action and CGI in a similar way to Destiny's trailer from September.

It shows off the many futuristic (but not science-fiction!) weapons, gadgets, and vehicles that players will find in Advanced Warfare. And of course, at the heart of the trailer is the exosuit, which your character will wear in the game to provide all manner of super-human abilities.

The Advanced Warfare live-action trailer was directed by Peter Berg, who you may know as the director 2013 Mark Wahlberg movie Long Survivor. Featured in the commercial are Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) and Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl).

The video is meant to display 2059 Lagos.

Advanced Warfare launches November 4 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can get it one day early, however, through the Day Zero edition. For more on Advanced Warfare, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires Gets Release Date

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will release early next year –– Jan. 27 in the US, and Jan. 30 in Europe.

This entry into the hack 'n' slash series focuses more on the creative side. For the first time in the franchise's history, players can create their own warrior to take onto the battlefield. Furthermore, there's also a host of customization options available for horses and armies.

In disk form, you'll be able to pick up Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you'd prefer digital, then there's always Steam on PC, and the PlayStation 3 version.

Upon its release, Dyanasty Warriors 8 was one of the best entries in the series. In the IGN review, we said "Dynasty Warriors 8 is the most satisfying and complete Warriors game yet, dethroning the excellent Warriors Orochi 3. It’s at once familiar and fresh, instantly recognisable at its core yet subtly transformed by intelligent additions and a series of small but noticeable tweaks."

Far Cry 3 Has Sold 'Around 10 Million Copies'

Ubisoft revived the Far Cry franchise with its third numbered entry in 2012, and has maintained momentum since.

The company has sold "around 10 million copies" of Far Cry 3, Ubisoft said during an earnings call today. The open-world shooter, set on a jungle island inhabited by bandits and native tribes alike, released during the same holiday season as Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed III. It reimagined the formula of its numbered predecessor, and brought the series back into the limelight –– in three weeks, Far Cry 4 marks the franchise's first foray onto the new generation of consoles.
