Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition will be released on October 15.
It will be available for PC and Mac gamers via Steam, GOG, and developer Phoenix Online Studios' online store. Preorders are currently available for 15% off the retail launch price of $20 USD.
Launch details for iOS and Android versions have not yet been announced.
The remake is licensed from Activision, and its development has been directed by original creator Jane Jensen. It updates the classic point-and-click adventure with 3D environments and characters, new puzzles and scenes, and behind-the-scenes material such as interviews and concept art.
The Gabriel Knight remake was first revealed in late 2013. In IGN's preview, we felt the remake was beautiful and compelling with only minor flaws. We recently revisited the original Gabriel Knight, examining how it fit into the adventure gaming landscape of the 1990s.
