We're kicking off the second week of IGN First's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare coverage with the reveal of a new multiplayer mode. If you played Call of Duty 3 or World at War, you're in for a treat.
"Momentum" is essentially a game of Tug of War, but with lots and lots of death. You can think of it as a more linear version of Domination, where the points you need to capture are in a row and not spread around the map. Yes, this is the return of the popular "War" mode from the games I mentioned above.
If you capture the point in the center of the map, the next contested point is one spot closer to the enemy's base. The more you kill, the faster you're able to capture flags. It's more hectic than anything else we played, and it's certainly not for those of you who want to take it slow.
