Resident Evil Revelations 2 is set to star series favorite Claire Redfield along with the daughter of Resident Evil 1's Barry Burton, named Moira. Revelations 2 takes place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 in a detention facility on an abandoned island. Claire and Moira are kidnapped and deposited there at the game's opening, tasked with facing down a new enemy type called the Afflicted. They are described as "something quite different" from the series' traditional zombies.
