Square Enix is temporarily suspending shipments of Dragon Quest X for 3DS in Japan because of server issues, the publisher announced on its blog.
Dragon Quest X released one week ago, and since then, a large influx of players has prevented many newcomers from logging into the Dragon Quest X servers. Unlike the Wii, Wii U and PC versions of the MMO, the 3DS version streams to players' handhelds via cloud servers. The problems are especially intrusive between the peak traffic hours of 7 p.m. and midnight.
