Amiibo Unlocks Fire Emblem Characters in Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Nintendo announced that amiibo of Fire Emblem characters Marth, Lucina, Robin, and Ike will unlock corresponding characters in Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Senior Product Marketing Manager Bill Trinen detailed a few special abilities and features. In the tradition of Fire Emblem, players cannot revive these defeated amiibo characters if they fall during the battle. Each downed amiibo ally can rejoin the roster once the battle is over.

Marth can use the sacred sword called Falchion or a rapier to attack enemies. He can also use a special ability called the Lode Star to heal a substantial amount of ally damage. Ike can use his blessed blade to send out shockwaves or equip an axe for combat.
