The winners of Ludum Dare 31 have been announced, with Daniel Linssen taking first place overall in the 48-hour Compo again with Birdsong and a three-person team consisting of Simon Larsen, Lukas Hansen, and Frederik Storm taking first place overall in the 72-hour Jam with 90 Second Portraits.
Birdsong is an exploratory platformer with a really neat way of keeping a large game on one screen (since the theme for Ludum Dare 31 was Entire Game on One Screen). 90 Second Portraits is pretty much exactly what its name implies; you have 90 seconds to try to create portraits of your customers using only a small brush, a bigger brush, a bucket, and a paint palette that holds only four colors at a time.
Visit the Ludum Dare web site for further breakdowns of the winners in each category.
